Volunteering
How can you help?
There are around 210 volunteers at the National Railway Museum and they are involved in almost all of the Museum's operations.
Volunteers can:

- operate the miniature railway
- provide members of the support team for the operation of locomotives on the main line
- staff the information points
- give Gallery Tours at busy times in the Museum
- identify, sort and pack additions to the photographic collection
- sort and record engineering drawings
- assist on display stands at exhibitions and events around the United Kingdom
